Setting
TMTMU takes place in a fantasy land. The Eleven Seas holds ten human nations and the mermaid pods who rule the seas. Little is known about the sea beyond. Starla and Jules are natives of Gusar, the pirate nation. Born from an uprising of pirates who wanted more than just a life dying for kings who employ them, Gusar is ruled by the Pirate Queen or King. They have few laws and spend most of their time exploring, thieving (sometimes) and trading with the kingdoms. Currently, it is ruled by Aida Cabot, Julian's mother.
